Art Out Proud

  • 3054 Sunrise Blvd Suite G Rancho Cordova, CA 95742 United States (map)

Bring yourself, your art project and supplies πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆπŸŽ¨πŸ§Ά We want to hold space with our queer community & friends, why not take the time to be creative around one another!

This is an 18+ event in order to promote a peer-based, collaborative, social environment. Also, no friends are perfect (and we aren't either!) but making a safer space means we accept the work is ongoing. Joining us here means that you support this goal, and you are committed to the process of understanding one another.

As a free & volunteer run social, registrations are essential for us to prepare adequately [link info]. If you have questions or want to run something by us, feel free to contact our facilitator @al.rtz

Q: What can I bring?

A: Suggested projects and materials to bring (including above): knitting, cross-stitching, sewing, small to medium size canvas pieces, minifigures or D&D notes, model vehicles, cosplay or costumes, your preferred writing medium, holiday gifts or cards, wedding decor projects, diamond paintings, scrapbook pages, tablets or laptops for digital art or photo editing, leatherwork, paracord, art class or writing homework, and much more!

Q: What should I bring?

A: If you're coming with a friend or to simply enjoy creative company, we recommend drawing tools along with a sketchbook, journal, coloring/activity book, or tablet.

β€’ We also suggest headphones to attendees so you can use the time to look up ideas (this also prevents scrolling sounds/videos from disrupting other makers while you seek inspiration).

β€’ We will have tables with tablecloths, aprons, and dirty water cups available.

Q: What about snacks?

A: You are welcome to bring snacks & beverages to consume while you work, we simply ask that everyone be aware of the common allergies and be courteous in regards to smells or cleaning up messes that occur.
